    We offer a variety of programs tailored to different age groups: Infant and Toddler Program (0 to 2 years) Toddler Program (18 months to 2.5 years) Preschool Program (2.5 to 4 years) Pre-K Program (4 to 5 years) Forest School Program (18 months to 5 years) Forest Elementary Schooling (5 to 7 years)

    Monte Tavor Preschool caters to children aged 0 to 7 years, including our innovative Forest School Program and upcoming Forest Elementary School.
  • What is the application process for enrolling a child in Monte Tavor Preschool?
    The application process involves submitting an online application form, followed by an interview and a tour of the school. We also require a teacher recommendation and previous school records (if applicable).
  • Is there a waitlist, and if so, how does it work?
    Yes, we have a waitlist for certain programs. Children are placed on the waitlist based on the order of application, and we notify parents as soon as a spot becomes available.
  • Are there any specific requirements for admission?
    While there are no specific requirements, we do prioritize siblings of current students and children of alumni.
  • What is the daily schedule for children?
    Our daily schedule includes a mix of free play, structured activities, outdoor play, story time, and nap time. Our curriculum is developed and based on the seasons. Each day is designed to balance learning with play and rest.
  • What types of activities are included in the curriculum?
    Our curriculum includes arts and crafts, music and movement, literacy and numeracy activities, science discovery, and outdoor play. We also incorporate cultural and seasonal themes into our activities.
  • How does the preschool incorporate outdoor learning and play?
    We have spacious outdoor playgrounds, and we schedule outdoor playtime every day, weather permitting. Our Forest School Program includes a Forest Classroom, daily nature exploration, gardening, and outdoor learning activities for children aged 18 months to 7 years. We have the Skyline preschool site and hybrid / cabin classrooms for inclement weather.
  • What are the facilities like at Monte Tavor Preschool?
    Our facilities include bright and spacious classrooms, a well-equipped outdoor playground, a library, and a multi-purpose room for various activities. We also have dedicated spaces and a Forest Classroom for our Forest School activities.
  • How qualified are the teachers and staff members?
    All our teachers are certified and have extensive experience in early childhood education. Our support staff is also trained in child care and first aid.
  • What is the teacher-to-child ratio?
    We maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure personalized attention and quality care, with a ratio of 1:4 for infants, 1:6 for toddlers, and 1:8 for preschoolers and older children. In addition, we have aids who serve as floaters between groups. The forest school program have support staff for setting up the classrooms, carry camping equipment, food and supplies. There is additional staff in the forest schooling.

    We have strict safety protocols for all environments, including secure entry systems, regular fire drills, and childproofing measures throughout the schools. All staff members are trained in emergency procedures and first aid.

    We provide healthy snacks and lunch options that cater to various dietary needs. Our wellness program includes daily health checks, handwashing routines, and teaching children about healthy habits.
